Billboard #1 jazz artist Deborah Silver is set to dazzle Palm Springs audiences this fall with the release of her new album Basie Rocks! and a pair of live performances at the iconic Purple Room Supper Club.

Praised by the late Quincy Jones as “one of the most dynamic performers in contemporary jazz,” Silver has built a reputation for blending glamour, storytelling, and powerhouse vocals into unforgettable performances. With Basie Rocks!, she takes her artistry to bold new heights, collaborating with the legendary Count Basie Orchestra to reinvent pop and rock classics with a big-band swing twist.

The album reimagines hits like The Beatles’ A Hard Day’s Night, Elton John’s Bennie and the Jets, Peter Frampton’s Baby, I Love Your Way, and The Police’s Every Breath You Take, alongside timeless standards from the Great American Songbook. The result is a collection that breathes new life into familiar tunes while proving jazz’s timeless ability to evolve and electrify.

Though the Count Basie Orchestra appears exclusively on the record, Palm Springs audiences will get a taste of Silver’s signature style live on stage. She is scheduled to perform on Friday, October 31, 2025, and Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Purple Room. Known for her sparkling presence and crowd-pleasing energy, Silver promises an experience that is equal parts sophisticated, heartfelt, and joyfully swinging.

“My gay fans in Palm Springs always tell me I remind them of Karen Walker from Will & Grace!” Silver joked. “I’ll take that as the highest compliment—the bubbly personality, the fabulous sparkle and sass. The only twist is that instead of martini-soaked one-liners, I belt out jazzy tunes.”

With Basie Rocks! and her Palm Springs debut of the new material, Deborah Silver continues to prove that jazz is not only alive but thriving—swinging harder and shining brighter than ever.
