Deborah Silver Set to Swing and Rock the famed Blues Alley in Washington D.C. on May 4th

April 22, 2025

Deborah Silver and the Count Basie Orchestra

The celebrated songstress will perform an all-new show featuring tracks from her new album with The Legendary Count Basie Orchestra, Basie Rocks!

Billboard chart-topping and Amazon best-selling vocalist Deborah Silver will perform shows at Blues Alley in Washington, D.C. at 5:30pm and 8pm on Sunday, May 4th! The award-winning chanteuse, beloved by audiences for her captivating performances in which she brings the glamour and elegance of music’s golden eras to life, will present an all-new program that previews selections from her new album, Basie Rocks!

Produced by Grammy-winning producer and drummer Steve Jordan of The Rolling Stones, Basie Rocks! (out May 2nd) is a remarkable set that sees Silver and the legendary Count Basie Orchestra reimagine timeless rock songs by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Sting, Elton John and Peter Frampton, among others, as elegant jazz standards. Frampton himself joins Silver on a smoldering jazz ballad reinterpretation of his timeless hit, “Baby, I Love Your Way.”

“I’m so excited to perform at Blues Alley,” Silver says. “The show is going to be a collision of my influences – there’s the rock and roll I grew up with that we’re swinging, but I’ll also sing selections from Glitter & Grits, the album I cut with Asleep at the Wheel that combined my jazz roots and Western Swing vibes. And I’ll perform some of the beautiful numbers from The Great American Songbook that I covered in my album The Gold Standards. I like to keep things fresh and exciting by blending a dynamic mix of genres into my shows.”

Tickets for both shows can be purchased here.

Following her concert at Blues Alley, Silver will take her new act on the road, including shows on the main stage at Birdland in New York City on July 20th, and Feinstein’s at the Nikko in San Francisco on August 8th.
